Nonverbal persons must be protected from abuse

To re-activate this blog, let me start with posting here the message I posted 2 weeks ago on November 28, 2018 to the Yahoo!Group AutismFC, that reposted the message I posted there on May 20, 2016:

Unfortunately, for the past 2-1/2 years, both my son Ben and I have had serious medical issues but I hope to try again to pursue the following posted 2-1/2 years ago:

Nonverbal persons must be protected from abuse

Nonverbal persons must be protected from abuse (whether with or without autism, along with other vulnerable persons) – including physical abuse, rape and unexplained injuries even deaths.

While I have publicly expressed my concerns in the past, I deeply regret that I have not been more vocal and now I intend to pursue this extremely important area and seek help from everyone involved with nonverbal persons.

Earlier this week, I posted two other statements that should be read in conjunction with this post (to a private Facebook group, a private yahoo!group and “autismfc” a public yahoo!group):

Nonverbal persons, with or without autism, need everyone’s help now

FC (Facilitated Communication) & the most basic human right of LIFE (7 June 2011)

So far, 3 persons responded to the private Facebook group post and 2 persons responded by private email, for a total of 5 persons.

I look forward to more persons offering to help, including everyone involved with Facilitated Communication and Rapid Prompting Method – whether as supporters or opponents (such as professor James Todd) -  because all of these persons have expressed their concern about the human rights of nonverbal persons.

Concerning all 3 of these posts this week, I would especially want to get comments from self-advocates including nonverbal persons besides my own son Ben who already commented.
